I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Oceanside, CA) in Nov 2011
Interview
I applied to Target for a seasonal position. I received a phone call three weeks later asking if I would like to come in for an interview the next day. I went in and waited in the break area for about five minutes, during that time, I was given a basic math questionnaire. I was then pulled out by who I believe was a manager who interviewed me for about fifteen minutes. I was given situational questions such as:
Describe a time where you teamed up with another person and accomplished a goal.
Questions like that. I was also asked the generic questions: Why target? What would your supervisor say about you?
After that interview, i went back into the break room and waited about 5 minutes and then was interviewed again, but by the HR manager this time who asked me pretty much the same type of questions. (Note: These questions came out of a handbook.) After that interview, I was offered a conditional job until I passed my drug test.
On a side-note: Glassdoor really helped me prepare for my interview.

Question 1
Describe a time you worked with a group of people to accomplish a goal.
I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Manassas, VA)
Interview
Very easy, was sent an email to a link that had interview question that u had to record myself answering it. Got a call back the day of or the next day. Can’t remember exactly. But very easy for the position I applied as I’m guessing it’s cause it’s a higher turn over position.

Question 1
A time the I was put under pressure and how did I react/ navigate the situation?
The interview was straightforward and relaxed. I applied online, and they called me in within a few days. The manager asked about my availability, ability to work overnight shifts, and comfort with physical work like lifting boxes and stocking shelves. The process took about 20–30 minutes, and they explained the job expectations clearly before making their decision.

Question 1
“What makes you a good fit for this position?”
How did you answer this question?
“I explained that I’m reliable, comfortable working overnight shifts, and have no problem handling physical tasks like lifting and stocking shelves. I also mentioned that I’m good at staying organized and working independently or as part of a team.”
Management sits you down in a room and asks general questions and gauges physical capabilities. Performed background checks and asks if you can accomodate certain hours. Explains the job say day as interview.
