I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Oct 2009
Interview
Applied online but contacted a friend who worked at the store. Day of interview had 3 short interviews with 3 different people, signed conditional offer : needed to pass background check and drug test. Interviews were short and also had to take an assessment of customer service type situational questions. Liked the interviewers and once the drug test and bg check results came back, I started working in a about a week. Orientation consisted of several videos and paperwork for taxes etc... and a store tour. Like the people and the job. For the most part everyone is welcoming and friendly.
Hiring process: Fill out application. If application moves forward then a link is sent with video question and answer consisting of several questions. Straight forward with ability to practice before final submit.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (Folsom, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
The interview process was rushed and a little messy. It was clear they were desperate for staff and would hire anybody. They asked really typical interview questions (strengths, weaknesses, etc) but barely processed my answers.

I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Apr 2020
Interview
The interview for seasonal team members is very quick. I was scheduled to come in for an interview that last about 30 minutes. Attire for employees is casual, but I dressed in business casual. I was interviewed by a Leader, not necessarily the HR person. They have set questions they have to ask and fill out on their system. They also asked for availability and gave a brief description of the type of seasonal work they needed. I happened to be in fulfillment.
