Interview
Applied online and received a phone call to set up an interview the next day; came ten minutes early and was encouraged to walk around the store as I waited for the manager. They asked the usual interview questions (experience, availability, etc.), as well as questions checking how much I know about music and movies and what my favorite genres were. (They were pleased to hear that I'm a music major and could offer tons of knowledge on most genres.) It was a fairly short, relaxed interview and I was offered a job on the spot.
Be friendly on the phone, be friendly to staff when you enter the store, be friendly to any customers you run into the day of the interview. More than experience, they definitely want people they can enjoy working with.
The interview was straight forward asking about experience and why I wanted to join the company. I was then ghosted and received no reply after following up twice. This was years ago though so the experience may be different now
They were easy-going and understanding. For a first job, it was great practice and a good experience. The friendly manager made the process seamless. A bit informal but great for a first interview, and quick turnaround and got an answer quickly. Started about a month later with good training.
