Pros

The salary and benefits packaged are great. Business Week ranked Lockheed Martin the #8 best place to launch a career in 2009 and I'd agree. Internships are pushed heavily as evidenced by the Business Week report: 65% of eligible 2007 interns received full-time job offers and 81% of interns with offers accepted.

Cons

You may be in the same position for 10 years before being promoted. If you don't plan on staying here for 30 years make sure you get out in your first five years.

Advice to Senior Management

People would do anything to work for a company like Google, figure out why that is and emulate it.

Agreed. That's the mistake I made. I stayed too long. Get out before your brain cells die.
