      Pros

      - Free Flights to West Coast Hubs SFO, SAN, LAX, and SEA and than to any other place that Alaska Flies. - Part Time Union Protected Position - Solid training program where the company will fly you to a training hub for free and provide you with a hotel, and meal per diem. - Hours are easily traded between employees and you can have the freedom to have a second job and reap the rewards and benefits of the position without working long hours - On the job learning is constant.

      Cons

      - The Hiring process took two months before official start day. - Training is 8 constant days with no break in between from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Expect to be very tired. - You CANNOT be late. It’s a company policy and several employees have been let go for even being 1 minute late. If you have the tendency to be late to your job, do not expect to last long. They emphasize this in training but people still don’t understand how serious Alaska is about tardiness.

      Pros

I worked a remote position with ITS and it came with all the of the usual intern benefits which included flight benefits and 6 travel vouchers for loved ones. Alaska has a wholesome welcoming culture that lives up to their name of "Alaska Carelines" everyone looks out for each other and it's easy to make new friends no matter the role. I loved working alongside my team at Collaboration Services - they provided me with a positive learning environment and always helped out and provided support whenever I needed it. They're an amazing company to intern for and I would definitely love to work with them again!

      Cons

Working remote from a different time zone is a bit tricky when it comes to scheduling meetings and all of the intern events are based in Seattle so if you are based out of the East Coast like me it can be difficult to make it to in-person celebrations and gatherings.

      Pros

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of Alaska Airlines. As I approach my three‑month mark, I can confidently say it’s been a truly wonderful experience so far. From the onboarding process to ramping up in my role, every step has been thoughtful, supportive, and seamless. I genuinely appreciate how well Alaska takes care of its employees—it makes all the difference.

      Cons

This isn’t really a con, but if you’re new to the airline industry, there’s definitely a lot to learn—especially when it comes to the acronyms and industry‑specific terminology. It can feel overwhelming at first, simply because everything is so new. That said, the team has been incredibly supportive, patient, and always willing to help, which makes the learning curve much more manageable.

      Pros

Trainings is first class. The employees really care and everyone works together to make it a great place to work.

      Cons

You might not get your dream base as a new hire. Good things come to those who wait!

      Pros

Having worked at two other airlines, I was so impressed by the recruiting process at Alaska. They do a really good job making sure that they are hiring people who will fit and contribute to the culture. The leaders on my team have high standards but also care a lot about their team.

      Cons

Had some challenges getting signed up for benefits however the support getting it resolved was excellent.

      Pros

The company hired me even tho I was in my late 60’s and hired ano hired another gal in her 70’s! Zero discrimination for any reason. They are there for you to succeed. There are free flying perks, bonus money perks, fabulous health insurance, great vacation time annd ways to add to it easily for each following year.! We are a family with other agents and supervisors ready and willing to assist at all times and care about your success. Highly recommended sompany! Never a dull moment! But you get to work from home. You can move departments—be come a flight attendant, join the group to train you to be a pilot, switch to accounting, work at the airport, become a dispatcher, or switch stations in several location such as live anywhere in Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Anchorage, Ak. , Texas, and Idaho.

      Cons

You must clock in on time ALL the time. You could be assigned or you can sign up for mandatory over time in crazy situations such as over a foot of snow in Seattle. It can be 2-4 hours when you least expect it. It can be stressful, you will cry with guests, laugh with them, get chewed out (rarely) by them and will be loved by them. You need to be quick and able to assess many situations that arise as working for an airline can be a changing and moving constantly kind of work.

      Pros

Best onboarding experience I've had with any company. 1-on-1 training, frequent check-ins, and great support from leadership. Light to medium workload. Great pay + benefits and great support on how to use those benefits. Glad to see Alaska expanding. Good transparency from upper management especially with recent credit cards changes and Hawaiian merge.

      Cons

Any issues I'm having are typically outside of the company's control, commute/bus wait times, aging facility, etc. Guest welcoming platform could be better modernized for our Concierge Team.
