      Pros

Sure! Here are 5 pros of working at Arm (Arm Holdings): 1. Cutting-Edge Technology Arm is a global leader in semiconductor and chip design, especially for mobile and embedded devices. Working there puts you at the forefront of innovation in low-power, high-efficiency computing. 2. Global Impact Arm designs power billions of devices worldwide, from smartphones to IoT to automotive systems. Employees contribute to products used by millions globally, giving a sense of purpose and real-world influence. 3. Collaborative and Inclusive Culture Arm is known for its open, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. The company emphasizes teamwork, knowledge sharing, and personal development, making it appealing for engineers and professionals who value a supportive workplace. 4. Strong Work-Life Balance Employees often cite good work-life balance and flexibility, including options for hybrid work, flexible hours, and wellness programs—especially important in today’s professional climate. 5. Career Growth and Development With structured career paths, access to internal mobility, and training resources, Arm supports continuous learning. Its global presence also means international opportunities and exposure to diverse projects and teams.

      Cons

Slower Decision-Making Due to Matrix Structure Arm’s organizational structure can be complex and highly matrixed, meaning decisions often require input and alignment across multiple teams or regions. This can sometimes slow down processes, especially compared to smaller or more agile companies.

This is a thoughtful and well-balanced review, thank you. You’ve highlighted some of the key reasons people choose Arm: meaningful work on global tech, a strong culture of collaboration and support, and room to grow. We know our matrixed structure can feel like a trade-off at times; it’s part of how we stay globally aligned, but we’re also working to reduce friction and move faster where it counts. Your experience as a Formal Verification Engineer really captures both the scale of the challenge and the opportunity here. Thanks for being part of the team.

Unmatched combo of atmosphere, compensation and work/life balance

      Senior engineer
      Current employee
      Manchester, England
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Excellent work/life balance and trust in the employees to get the job done. So if you need to do less hours one day and more another, or have an extended lunch break, go to gym classes in work hours etc, its fine and flexible. As the company has grown it's retained this somewhat 'flat hierarchy' feeling where it's not unusual to reach out to someone many grades above you for help. In some cases I've had excellent conversations as a junior engineer with the CEO even! The combination of the flexible work hours, hybrid home/office scheme, excellent compensation and inclusive supportive atmosphere makes me feel like I've really lucked out - I don't see why I would ever leave

      Cons

Some project uncertainty as the company branches out and innovates in new areas

Really appreciate this thoughtful feedback. It’s great to hear how much you value the flexibility, trust and inclusive culture, these are things we’ve worked hard to protect as we grow. That openness across levels is part of what makes Arm special, and we’re glad it’s made a real difference in your experience. You’re right that pushing into new areas can bring some uncertainty, but it’s also where the most exciting breakthroughs happen. Thanks for being part of that journey and for helping shape the culture that keeps people here.

No work life balance and toxic managers

      It support engineer
      Former employee
      Bangalore Rural
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Work culture at arm is terrific and horrible. No work life balance, very toxic managers in IT from UK and India. They are thinking Indias are their slaves. 12 to 14 hours per day work. Not at all a good company to work. Every 3-4 years there will be massive termination. No job security at all. Go for some better company. Full time work pressure. If you're fine with above things then you select arm as an employer.

      Cons

      Toxic managers, no job security

Best work life balance, work culture is also good

      Senior verification engineer
      Current employee
      Bengaluru
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Work life balance Opportunity to grow and learn. AI tools and technologies used. Get chance to work on scratch on various tools, methodologies and setup.

      Cons

Frequent Organizational Restructuring Not flexible enought to choose the work. You may or may not get to work on the areas which you like, it will be decided by the necessity and demand of the project work. But work assigned will be good and will offer lot of learning. Initial mentorship or ramp up plan is not at all structured, you get to learn as you get assigned the project from your leads, colleagues. Okay compensation not comparable to companies like nvidia, qualcomm and google.
