What is paid time off like at Atos?

Pros

None that I can see.

Cons

First of all, your PTO is pretty much non existent. They give you 8 days per year which is ridiculous to begin with and then since Atos doesn't recognize some US holidays, you'll have to use up your PTO in order to complete your 40 hours. I had to use 3 of those days in the first 4 months of the year so you really can't take any sort of vacation, unless you don't mind not getting paid. Also, dead end job since what you do is what you'll keep doing forever; no promotions, nothing. So if you have any kind of professional ambition this isn't the place to be, just forget about it. They will lead you on about becoming an employee but somehow they always have budget issues so it never happens. VERY*** slow ordering process so if you need hardware ordered and it's anything other that their standard laptops, it can easily take 1-2 months to get them in. This is idiotic since any department can go outside the process, pay for the hardware out of their own budget and get the same order in less that a week. This makes their own department and the tech look bad without any fault of our own. There is also a complete and utter lack of communication from ATOS regarding any issues, real or perceived regarding their clients. Anyone from the client side can give a bad review or say anything and they will take it at face value and the worst part is, they take the coward way out and keep acting as if everything is business as usual till the very end, when you're informed by the contracting company that you're out. They don't care to hear your side of the story and they never even approach you to try to get your side of it_ they simply don't care. Micromanagement has also become an issue there. They will poke you once in a while, asking if you have done this or that already, or don't forget to do X, etc. This is annoying and unnecessary, especially after I have proven that I'm perfectly capable of working without any supervision. The only this this accomplishes is making the employee feel like they don't trust you. I wish I could give these people zero stars. They could have at least some basic human decency and give employees some advance notice if things aren't working out but again, they never communicate, keep acting business as usual until they drop the hammer and you're out.

Advice to Management

Start keeping your promises, stop micromanaging good employees, stop listening to only once side, start communicating with your contractors and start using some basic human decency when dealing with people!!!
