The only con is that BJC is not nationwide.

Benefits are great and career support

Pay is on the low end

Ability to work remotely. The company does not lay off people easily.

No bonuses. The same pay if you die on the job or do absolutely nothing. No clear path for career advancement.

You are trained to do the job quickly.

Micromanagement to the extremes. The housekeeping department was restricted from the same simple "luxuries" the rest of the hospital's staff were allowed. Overflowing amount of work. No recognition for hard work. Extremely high turn around because they aren't honest about workplace culture in the interviews. They refuse to work with you REGARDLESS of the circumstances in your life and how those circumstances affect your work-life balance. You're only trained to do the job quickly because they give you 2 days at most to learn, then throw you to the wolves.

Large healthcare system with opportunities for movement and advancement. Re-Hire process was very easy. Coworkers who are willing to work hard

Extremely poor moentary compensation. Providers are managed by WASH U medicine, staff managed by BJC-There is no accountability for providers whatsoever. Providers will go weeks without handling patient tasks. Nurses take the brunt of this with patients. Management is very flakey- does not do what they say they're going to do. Alot of discrepancies with what I was told the role would be vs what it actually was. Things changing constantly but without a solid plan in place on how to implement successfully.

Good work/life balance and many (not most) of the employees seem to enjoy what they do.

Many executive leaders appear more concerned about how they look and their career advancement vs. truly caring about their teams.

Large healthcare network and provides opportunity to learn and progress.

Small fish in a big pond

A good quality hospital, lots of opportunities.

They overwork the nurses and continue to take more benefits away and try and frame it like they're doing something great. They are short stuffed on nurses most the time in a lot of departments and create burn out.
