Does BMC Software offer dental insurance?

Pros

-Substantial improvement in leadership over the last year. -Culture is rapidly growing, and camaraderie is strong. -Benefits such as insurance, health, etc are solid, and overall commission structure is fair -Standard onboarding is sufficient.

Cons

-Raises/promotions are few and far. -Higher qualified internal employees with superior product knowledge will struggle to keep pace with the 25-30% higher pay outside employees with 1/4 the knowledge typically receive. -Position specific onboarding is atrocious. Your best resources are your colleagues, who are typically very busy themselves. -Solution has the ability to complete anything thrown at it but customer demo environments, while slowly advancing, are a complete disaster which puts much strain on the SE's.

Advice to Management

-Please keep up the great work on slowly building the demo environments to allow employees to successfully demo to customers without spending more time fixing issue than demoing itself. -Look into your teams, evaluate their skills, and view what 3-5 year employees are making financially, vs 6 month new-hires. Outside-in should not make 30% more than loyal BMC vets, and it's very obvious. (Of course credit/skills apply when due)

Benefits such as insurance, health, etc are solid, and overall commission structure is fair

Does BMC Software offer life insurance?

Pros

Everything here is good, work life balance, recognition awards, performance bonus, insurance, etc Overall it’s a really nice place to work but it has one BIG con.

Cons

If you want to experience what is sexism then you should join this company, here womensday is celebrated with free massages, snacks, dance, live band, expensive decorations exclusively for women, if any men goes there then he would be treated like he is doing some crime. On other hand on mensday their budget is non existent, all they do is give some chocolate and a cake .. that’s it. And then they proudly say that our budget was spent on womens day.. I mean seriously? Height of sexism. Other con is career growth is very slow.

Advice to Management

Don’t ruin the good company with your sexist initiatives.

Everything here is good, work life balance, recognition awards, performance bonus, insurance, etc

Q: What does the LatinE Employee Resource Group (ERG) at BMC mean to you? A: LatinE is my safe space. It's where I can connect with others on a more personal level. Where I can learn from members' experiences. It's a group where I can contribute and share my culture. I've been at BMC for over a year now and my journey has been joyful thanks to my teammates, my work and my leadership. But I also knew I wanted a place where I could meet more people outside of my organization and be actively involved. Today I serve as one of the Volunteer Ambassadors for LatinE. Through LatinE I've gotten to hear personal stories of members' growth and struggles that inspire me and can relate to. It has offered me mentorship, leadership and most importantly opportunity. #HispanicHeritageMonth has kicked off and it's been fun joining the activities the group has organized from talking about our abuelos, to cooking recipes, to playing loteria and just taking a break to catch up on our cafecitos with BMC'ers across the world. Thank you BMC and thank you LatinE for allowing me to embrace the proud Latina
