      Eliminating Work From Home

      Assistant vice president

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The pro was the flexible work schedule.

      Cons

This bald headed cuck of a CEO is now eliminating work from home because he “believes” productivity is better in person. Oh really? Chubb had record earnings during Covid when everyone was work from home. He has just ruined work-life balance. People will start to leave again when morale sinks. Go work elsewhere!

It’s just not worth it unless you’re a VP

      Customer service representative
      Current employee
      Whitehouse Station, NJ
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Health insurance I guess but their lowest deductible is $900. Working remote - 3 days in office, 2 at home. That’s about it.

      Cons

Ok so they pride themselves on employee growth. How??? You plop people into what looks like a parking garage for humans. Cubicle hell with padded walls and grey or beige walls and floors. You can’t focus on your calls if your neighbors are loud, which mine are. Some of them sing to clients over the phone. Killme. If you want to work from home 5 days a week, you are penalized and have to work an extra 10 hours a week, without getting paid overtime. They say they’ll match your 401k @ 6% but it’s actually only UP TO 50% of 6%, Which is 3, max. We have an unlocked thermostat so it goes from 50 to 80 depending on if a single person decides to screw with it and change it based on their own preference. The pay is garbage for living in Jersey. Capped at 47k, which after tax is 36 and essentially poverty. Just sad when their ceo made 27m last year alone. Our chairs are trash and hurt my back. They schedule your lunch break so you can’t take it when you want. It may be as late at 3pm. The added security measures have agents over the phone pissed off that we don’t trust them, and 76% of CSR’s numbers went down since the change … which affects hour performance bonus. Not a coincidence. If you say “can you provide that” vs “would you mind providing that” your call will lose a point automatically for lack of empathy. This position has a super high turnaround rate and they are still trying to hire. You have a supervisor who has a boss who has a boss who has a boss. It’s all just too much.

Outdated work systems a disadvantage to productivity. Hints of returning to more fully in office work are worrying for work/life balance and cost of living
