How are career development opportunities at DHL Supply Chain?

Good pay, good for career advancement.

Long Hours, inconvenient shifts, supervisors and managers are often burnt out. PTO is only good if you are with the company for a really long time.

They do not provide a lot of opportunities to grow in the company.

If you're looking to grow your career or expect regular performance-based raises, this is not the place. Limited Learning: There is little to no focus on personal development or new learning opportunities. The company does not invest in enhancing your skills or offering training that could boost your career in the long term. Not Foreigner-Friendly: If you're a foreigner considering this role, you might face additional challenges, as the company does not provide the same level of support or career growth as it does for local employees. The work culture is not particularly inclusive, which makes it difficult for outsiders to integrate and thrive.

They invest in your future, provide you with leadership training, have great people working for them at many sites across the US. The company itself is a great company to work for.

While DHL is great, the client you work for and other members of management may not be. They work you to the bone and they provide you with no employee enrichment or engagement so no one is happy. Upper management is all buddy buddy and they team up on you when there is an issue. There isnt much opportunity to move up in your career because everyone is comfortable in their position. HR doesn't work with you when there is an issue, they're on the side of upper management (buddies).

Benefits are good, generous employee development fund, lots of good challenges, IT departments go on a tropical conference yearly

Sectors are silo'd, executives communicate the bare minimum, never been told that layoffs were happening at a warehouse, management can be toxic, wage growth is not great (4%), not union friendly, growth opportunities don't currently exist in the data antics community (but supposedly is coming), big management changes coming, management is tightening their belts even though we are in a "good financial position"
