Does DICK'S Sporting Goods offer tuition reimbursement?

      DICK'S Sporting Goods reviews

      Bare minimum.

      Former contractor

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Decent Pay Vacation Time Personal Time FMLA Overtime Retirement

      Cons

Distribution. Building rapport with management and leads are necessary for further opportunities, sort of GOB club. Favoritism is high like any other job. Job focuses on encouraging employees especially underperforming due to disability act in hiring & firing these low performers. No tuition reimbursement unless salaried. Corporate changing target margins constantly. Not the safest environment due to employees with criminal backgrounds. No end of year bonuses. Shifts are 10 hours with short lunch breaks. Management not communicative. HR slightly problematic.

      Pretty good job

      Cashier
      Former employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good pay, management is understanding and friendly (for the most part) and is great for college and high school students.

      Cons

Favoritism, can have some drama here and there. (Like most retail jobs though however)

      Pros

Wasn’t a very stressful job, great environment for athletes, flexible schedule

      Cons

A lot of turnover with employees, so you will need to know every department. The pay is extremely low, only worked while I was going to school and living with parents.

      Pros

Always able to get hours albeit some being weird shifts. Able to move up if passionate. Employee discount was good especially if you were buying clearance. Pay was decent for a college student

      Cons

Wouldn’t always follow the schedule given to them. I get it but if I’m in class I can’t come in till later and they already know that. Also would schedule you to close (leave around 11pm most nights) and then the next day you would have to open at 7 am.

      Cons

Can get busy on the weekends. If you work closing shifts you could stay an hour after closing.
