Decent pay but toxic leadership culture

      Pros

Good benefits and the pay is decent

      Cons

I joined this company with optimism — it had startup energy and I expected the culture to mature over time. Years later, it has only gotten worse. Leadership’s singular focus is AI, and not in a way that feels collaborative or forward-thinking for employees. The message from the top is clear: adopt AI to do your job faster so they don’t need to hire more people, or leave. Employees are literally being asked to take courses that train AI to perform their own roles. That’s not innovation — that’s a replacement strategy with extra steps. The culture modeled by leadership doesn’t reflect a healthy work environment. There’s an expectation that working around the clock and a party-hard lifestyle is the norm. For anyone with a life outside of work — family, health, boundaries — this place is not designed with you in mind. What’s most frustrating is that this doesn’t feel like ignorance. Leadership appears fully aware of the impact their decisions have on employees and simply doesn’t care. The attitude is dismissive at best. Turnover has been significant — by some estimates, nearly half the company has walked out the door. Not because of the market, but because of the people at the top. Some truly talented, dedicated individuals have been lost because of this culture. That should speak volumes to anyone considering a role here.

      'Yes Boss' Culture

      Business Outlook

      Pros

This company stands out with a clear direction and purpose. The perks and benefits are top-notch, making sure we all feel valued and supported. It's clear they care about both our professional growth and personal well-being, which makes it an amazing place to work.

      Cons

Be cautious of this particular department. It feels like a cult, led by a narcissistic and entitled senior manager who expects everyone to follow her with a "Yes Boss" attitude. The hierarchy is very apparent, with her clearly being the "boss." This doesn't align with Dialpad's core values of an equal and fair workplace.

Accessible leaders but struggles with resources and direction

      Director
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Accessible and approachable leadership: Management is easy to reach and open to communication. Competitive perks: Enjoyable benefits like free daily office lunches and a modern, high-quality workspace. Flexible time off: An unlimited vacation policy that supports personal flexibility.

      Cons

Severe resource and budget constraints: There is virtually no budget for team building, travel, or professional development. Constant pivots: Frequent changes in direction often prevent projects from reaching completion. Lack of structure: Internal workflows are undefined, manual, and unnecessarily painful. Disconnected leadership: Senior management appears out of touch with day-to-day operational struggles. Below-market compensation: Pay does not align with industry standards, especially when considering the high-stress environment and lack of proper tools. Poor work-life balance: There is a culture of "always-on" expectations, including frequent late-night and weekend demands. Chaotic AI strategy: A strong push to deploy AI without clear goals, established processes, or necessary guardrails. Low morale and trust: Organizational trust has been severely compromised following the significant layoffs in 2025. Lack of performance incentives: No bonuses were awarded because the company failed to meet arbitrary internal targets, despite strong individual and team performance. Lack of executive diversity: There is very low diversity within the C-suite and senior leadership, which is predominantly comprised of white males.

      Pros

Dialpad treats it's employees well, the culture is fun and the leadership teams listen to employee feedback and implement actionable plans to improve. The pay and benefits are good and the people are all great and there is a lot of collaboration and a vibe that everyone is in it together.

      Cons

The company is experiencing a lot of growth so there is a lot of work to be done and your often asked to "wear a lot of hats", but on my team in particular, management is actively working to improve processes, add more staff, and advocates for self care and time off to mitigate burn out.

Tech is good Benefits are very good A small group of employees are great

      Cons

      - while tech is good it's no different than the competition (and it's a competitive industry) - way too much of a cya culture. however, the select few that are helpful are incredibly helpful. - too difficult to get anything done. Almost everything has to be approved by c-level staff, which was fine when we were a smaller company. But at 1,000+ it doesn't work well anymore.
