Cons
Many locations: They add to your job description while limiting the time they give you to finish tasks. They don't allow hours for FT Asst Managers to go past their scheduled hours but CSRs go up to 40. Yes I know they make less but we also have tasks to get finished but can't go over our scheduled time but also have to deal with voids, returns, changing out cashier's, counting the safe while the csr on the floor are uninterrupted and get to finish their tasks while we are written up because we don't. Cashiers sell sell sell chocolates but only the SM gets the bonuses. Hot weather store is supposed to provide water for the employees but managers refuse too so employees buy for the store. After a certain temperature they are to close their stores especially when many don't have adequate air conditioning but the DMs refuse to close. Dress code allows knee length shorts in the hot weather SMs don't allow it. We have to take out meals which reduces our weekly pay by 2.5 hours per week. Stores have to look like perfection every day despite how busy and under staffed you are at the same time or be written up. There are SMs who think you should always be available as a Asst Manager to cover someone who else's shift. Managers going on leave and refusing to allow their Asst Managers to have extra hours , over time or pay extra to do their jobs as holding managers or speak up for them to have these things. You request days off but are scheduled then it's your problem to find a replacement or be a no show.
