Does Family Dollar Stores offer malpractice insurance?

Pros

A paycheck. Getting a paycheck, even a small one is a pro

Cons

This company micromanages you. Corporate controls everything right down to the scheduling templates you're supposed to use where an assistant manager gets off work at 10:30 pm and then has to report the next day at 7:30 am. Most managers follow this template. The work required from employees and managers is much more than what pay is given. Employees are not trusted and blamed to be the cause of the majority of theft that occurs. Most cameras face the employees and not the aisles that shoplifters are on. The insurance offered is expensive and has very high deductibles and out of pockets.

Advice to Management

Pay your people an appropriate wage. Don't have a manager close and get out at 10:30, get home at 11, eat at 11:30, and finally get to bed around 1 am after a shower and a little time to relax to just have them back 6 hours after laying down. Never make someone close and then open. Store managers need more time home. My newborn had no clue who I was. I got confused looks from him while my sister who visited 2 or 3 times a week got smiles. I never got a smile until he was 6 months old because of how much time I was required to be at my store. Family time is important.
