Does Fidelity Investments offer unlimited time off?

Great benefits, pay could be better

      Pros

Great benefits compared to a lot of companies, very positive work environment/ management teams, PTO flexibility (you don't have to ask management for time off, just enter it into system and there isn't any accrual. Your PTO is loaded at the beginning of the year for you to use)

      Cons

Pay is on the lower scale compared to other companies, definitely could be better. Not a lot of growth opportunities for remote employees. Have to be on site

      Great training, extreme low pay

      Pros

Great training for SIE, Series 7, 63 exams and met great team members that have turned to friends through the years.

      Cons

Extreme low pay, way too low for this economy and hourly wages and not salary for this position type. No flexibility in schedules and very rigid with breaks, lunch times, and PTO time off.

Good Benefits and Pay, but Return to Office Policy Disappoints

      Pros

The benefits package is excellent. Health insurance, paid time off, and other perks are top-notch. Competitive pay. Compensation here is above average for the industry. Great team culture and supportive colleagues. The work environment is respectful and collaborative.

      Cons

The return-to-office policy feels misguided. Throughout the pandemic, we were consistently told how productive we were while working remotely. Despite this proven success, the company has now decided that we must return to the office 50% of the time. This decision feels out of sync with both the data on our productivity and with employee preferences. It feels like a step backward in terms of flexibility and trust.

      Pros

People are great and work-life balance (flexi time and work from home). They are great for internally hiring too.

      Cons

Base pay is low. They do offer other benefits though

      Pros

Fidelity used to be a great place to work.

      Cons

Over the past two years, some of the amazing benefits fidelity had to offer have been taken away from associates. These benefits included Overtime Incentives, tax season incentives, daily in office lunch allowance ($10), daily in office self development time, work from home (75%). All of these amazing benefits I’ve listed above have now been taken away. Fidelity always had a lower salary offering than its competitors but in turn offered more perks and benefits than its counterparts. It made fidelity a great place to work if you wanted work/life balance. Now, I do not see a benefit for working at fidelity l for decreased pay and similar benefits to other company’s. Do not reccomend working here as over the past two years management has changed their way of thinking and they no longer value the associate experience.

      Pros

      Cons

I have been with the company for half a decade. Never left for one Loa, fully dedicated to this job. My cons, is from personal experience with this company. It starts out nice, pay is good, they work with you on your hours & if you need time off they're very flexible & you pretty much manage your own schedule. My issue is, the lack of organization & effort of communication. I went on maternity leave after my 4th year of working with the company. I qualified for all maternity pay since I was full time. Did the amount of time I was eligible to take off for the maternity leave, I come back they say I need to pay $5000 of that maternity pay all back. I've tried to fight this, no acceptions they refuse to admit their faults. I also have a doctor's accommodation to not have to go into office because my child has a disability.. I provided all documents that support this & they told me that my caretaker can take my child to office everyday for my break. Anytime you try to dispute/fight for your rights with this company that they're overstepping, no one listens to you. They have some reason to justify their demands.. regardless of anything you provide/say. They don't care. They refuse to promote my up in the company, I've worked for 5 years/full time. My status's are pristine & up to standard. Yet, I've been told that I'm not doing enough overtime.. but someone walks in the door as a new employee & they're hired as manager or higher up than the position they were enrolled in. It's absolutely insane what this company gets away with & what they prioritize. Ive tolerated so much discrimination & harassment with this company. I've reported it & not one person cares to hear me.. I would really consider this as a side job rather than a career. You shouldn't dedicate yourself to a company that honestly does not care about their employees well being/considerations.
