      Pros

fully remote friendly and skilled coworkers

      Cons

All the benefits got cut drastically or removed alltogether No budget for in-preson meetings, education or conferences Low pay Work/life balance getting worse every week Csuite and management have no idea what to do, Ideas are pushed to developers without specification prepared, and even if by some miracle they are prepared, they will change 10 times during developement Hiring freezes and major layoffs in the whole world just to hire twice as many people from India "Anonymous" surveys that are not only not anonymous, but also noone believes will lead to any real change Tens of hours spent on meaningless meeting filled with meaningless HR talk that none of the employees are buying into If I have to hear one more time how Csuite are "enabling success" i will lose my mind

We appreciate you sharing your perspective. We’re proud to offer remote flexibility and to have a global team of skilled, dedicated professionals driving our work forward. While some legacy benefits have been retired, those changes have enabled us to introduce more meaningful and inclusive offerings that better support Hylanders worldwide. We take employee feedback seriously—through confidential surveys and other open channels—and use it to drive thoughtful improvements that matter. Hyland is financially strong, strategically focused, and guided by leaders committed to the success of our people and our business. We’re confident in our direction and invite every Hylander to take part in building what’s next. - Hyland HR Team

      Culture changed with new leadership

      Pros

Great for resume padding and getting a couple years experience.

      Cons

Seems to only be profit and results driven. Most of the onboarding promises were pushed back, and perks dwindled over the years to insignificance.

      Soul-crushing

      Pros

There are very intelligent, kind, and passionate people working here who still believe in the vision that Hyland initially showed them. During my tenure I was exposed to a great many systems and learned a lot and was surrounded by resources who were willing to teach so long as you put in the work, I can't thank all those enough who helped me on my journey and despite everything I am grateful for my time here.

      Cons

Much of what I say will no longer apply to anyone reading this as the company is only committed to hiring contracted resources from out of the county. Because apparently even paying below industry standard is too much to ask. Hyland is in its own death spiral. As such if you somehow end up here as a non-outsourced employee, expect to watch very talented and smart people have their hopes and passions ground into dust. All the while the C-level executives tell you about the bright and strong future that lays ahead of us, while also shaking in their boots because of anything that could even remotely be considered competition has begun emerging. All because the have 0 faith in the product, and why should they? It's rapidly aging, new releases are constantly and horrifically buggy (crazy what happens when you gut your entire R&D team. The product suffers, who could have guessed that?), and the proposed solution is well behind the curve. You can watch in real time as your benefits get slashed, anything fun and enjoyable get denied. and any freedom you once had in your role get ripped out of your hands. The mission statements and values are a sham, and what was once "the place to work" in NE Ohio is now a shell of its former self and will not return. To any of those still working there I do truly feel for you and I'm sorry. But the writing is no longer on the wall anymore, its in neon flashing lights, and if the recent adjustments to benefits haven't proved that then you're delusional. Get out while you still can.

Six months in: mission‑driven culture, smart people, and room to streamline

      Anonymous employee
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

People & culture: Colleagues are collaborative, customer‑focused, and genuinely supportive. There’s strong pride in the products and the impact they have for customers. Leadership visibility: Senior leaders are accessible and open to feedback; skip‑levels and roundtables make it easier to raise ideas. Flexibility & benefits: Good balance with remote/hybrid norms, solid wellness benefits, and encouragement to invest time in learning and community. Global partner mindset: Clear appetite to win with and through partners; cross‑functional teams lean in when it matters.

      Cons

Process maturity still evolving: As the company scales, some delivery and handoff processes are being standardized; this can mean extra coordination and occasional ambiguity. Tooling/enablement fragmentation: A few overlapping systems and dashboards slow execution until standards fully settle. Internal comms cadence: Lots of information; tightening the “signal vs. noise” would help busy teams stay aligned.
