      Pros

Great place to work for hourly part time or full time work Good benefits for retail

      Cons

Department managers and team leaders get treated very badly by their leaders. Work/life balance is near impossible because a lot of unpaid overtime is expected, Resources are spread too thin to manage workload or to achieve goals placed in yearly performance assessment. Extremely toxic work environment, gossip and bullying regularly seen within management.

      Pros

Great place to work in, environment is fast paced and busy, so time feels quick. Great people to collaborate and brainstorm with. Surprisingly very active role as you do a lot of hands on work.

      Cons

Fast paced and busy, which means that there is a lot of work that needs to be done and on time as well. Overtime is compensated through off hours which is alright, but depending on the management overtime might be frequent. Early to work, last to leave situation.

      Cons

      - LOTS OF WALKING (its a big store) - May end up working overtime because of the workload (depending on the time of year you might not get paid for OT) - Will have to multi-task a lot - Management is not always so nice (Its retail this isn't surprising)

      Good team members basic job

      Sales co-worker
      Former employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

you meet lots of lovely team members from diverse backgrounds, its a steady and easy job once you get into it. The food is very cheap for staff.

      Cons

there are some nasty sales co-ordinators/department heads whose bad behaviour is enabled and covered up. Ikea will also automatically roster you off your paid public holidays unless you double check them. You will not get paid overtime but the department won't function unless some people do it anyways.
