Pros
1.Organisation has set high level professional culture and is more important to the diversity program.
2.There is a great opportunity to learn from different processes, involving new projects.
3.They have a great team globally to rescue their employees at any time when they are in an emergency/danger.
4.No need to stick with a single process based on your experience. We can move to a new process or project if you have a great skill set and knowledge.
5.Co-workers and management people will behave professionally and genuinely especially with female colleagues.
6.Employee benefits are so great. Also if you are not taking mandatory leaves management people will forcibly ask you to take leaves.
7.Work life balance depends on the process.We will get a good amount of time in some process at the same time we have to work even on weekends for some process.
Cons
There is too much politics; promotions and other benefits are based on how close we are to and support middle management.
If you have a good manager, they will appreciate your skills and talents; otherwise, they will try to break your self-confidence and push you down. They will showcase to top management that you are unfit.
This happened to me because of my manager's ego. I initiated an Internal Job Posting (IJP), and it was under processing. He didn't like me taking an IJP, so after my request, he put me on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). I was in a situation where I had to prove myself, so I took on an automation project along with my 100% daily Business As Usual (BAU) work. I worked alone on that project for more than 14 hours every day. When I asked him about a promotion, he said, "You have more personal commitments," and he would not even take calls from his family members once he entered the office premises. However, to my knowledge, JP Morgan never behaves like this; they give importance to work-life balance. Due to my manager's motives, I left JP. After my departure, other colleagues also left the team because of my manager's behavior.
I'm not sure what kind of comments he had given. After three years, I tried to re-enter JP, but all my relevant positions were rejected. This organization was really good in early 2016, but now, it's losing its good name because of some unfit employees.
