Pros

The operating model that Klarna works with is great and it really focuses on you as a person and how you can contribute to your teams and to Klarna's success. It also allows you to take a career path that is seemingly different from other companies. I, myself, have changed positions twice over the past three years and it's been a very exciting ride to learn about so many different areas of the company. I feel like you get the support you need from the management and it's just a great place to work with a lot of great colleagues!

Cons

The only thing I could think of is that since Klarna is growing so rapidly (super exciting) the internal information flow is lacking at times.

Pros

Technology and software used is a pro (very forward looking in terms of technology) Great team of data scientists with very good knowledge and experience. Office environment is awesome!

Cons

Team setup can get quite chaotic. One can expect to move between teams often for no clear reason. Can end up in team with no clear career development.

Can end up in team with no clear career development.

Pros

- A successful core offering - Good tech stack - On a growth trajectory

Cons

- No clarity on roles and what they want to achieve - Everyone is super busy, but not much really gets done - Always stressful/fire fighting mode - Sycophancy is the way to succeed, and it is obscenely visible at all levels - Shallow management practices, they don't really care but try to show they do - No long term career path, most (70%) people leave within 1-2 years anyway - No work-life balance - Not enough diversity in Age, Nationality

Advice to Management

Enable people and break down the hierarchy

Pros

Only need to spend 2 hours a day to get job done.

Cons

No real career progression, after a year working at Klarna, I was told that nobody cared about my performance review. Seriously I am only doing 2 hours a day but people still think I am doing a good job, which just shows that nobody cares. No promotion unless you're on the right team or shout all the time. Guess that's the only way you can get noticed in this company.

Advice to Management

I only work hard to benefit myself, i.e. earn more money and title. If you show me no respect, I will only do the minimum work before I get a better offer elsewhere.
