      Fantastic Company, Great Leadership

      Sales development representative (sdr)
      Current employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - fantastic leadership - flexible work from home schedule - work abroad scheme - company benefits - great salary

      Cons

none that I can think of

A LOT of change in the last year - and more to come

      Customer success manager (csm)
      Current employee
      Clearwater, FL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Health insurance, unlimited PTO, good teammates, free gym membership, work from home 2 days/week

      Cons

PAY - Commissions have been cut SEVERAL times over the last few years. More people/roles competing for the same pot of commissions/money. More changes are coming. WFH - Have to go to the office 3 days a week after 5 years being home and crushing our targets. Give up some of your rental space to reduce costs. Appreciate your employees hard work and let us stay home full time. "Moving closer" to the office is not a realistic option.

      Pros

Excellent managers, perfect workload, work/life balance, competitive benefits, 100 percent remote work and much more. My time at KnowBe4 was the best of my career. The positive impact it had on me is why I'm confident in saying I would be thrilled to have the opportunity once again to contribute to the company's continued success in the future.

      Cons

I have genuinely had an outstanding experience and cannot think of any significant cons.

Stellar Culture, Training, and Onboarding—A Great Place to Grow

      Customer success manager
      Current employee
      Costa Rica
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

I have been thoroughly impressed with my experience at [Company Name]. The company excels in fostering a supportive, high-performance environment, and the process of joining was seamless: Exceptional Onboarding & Integration: The onboarding process was world-class—well-organized, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. I felt integrated and set up for success from day one, which speaks volumes about the HR and management dedication. Robust Technical Training: The investment in employee knowledge is clear. The technical training programs are comprehensive, relevant, and immediately applicable to real-world projects. This accelerated my ability to contribute and feel confident in my role. Positive Culture & Leadership: The culture is highly collaborative, respectful, and mission-driven. Leadership is visible, supportive, and committed to developing talent. There is a strong sense of esprit de corps across teams.

      Cons

The only persistent friction point is the shift in the company’s work-from-home (WFH) policy. While the return to the office has boosted collaboration for some, the change is still viewed as a significant downside by many highly productive team members who previously thrived under a remote model. Maintaining a flexible WFH option could help retain top talent and fully support work-life balance for everyone.

Unlimited PTO - Health - Work from Home

      Cons

The unlimited PTO is denied all the time because we don't have coverage, but Directors and VPs are out at least 5-7 days per month. Work From home was switched to hybrid. Massive account overload, 10-15 times what CSMs at other companies have to handle. Low Pay - very low pay compared to our market average. Upper Management ignores our feedback, we are completely unheard. And when we are heard we are told there is a light at the end of the tunnel, trust the process and go back to work. I have heard that for over 3 years now, how long is this tunnel? Goal posts for bonuses are stretched to an unobtainable mark. There is no leadership for CSMs, everyday is a completely random demand with no measurable focus on the accounts, just a demand to get more of their money. Middle management does not have the tools to help us succeed. You will be micromanaged down to every 15 minute block of your day. Executive leadership is completely disconnected from us, we struggle to make ends meet, while the CEO asks us to Proofread his book, and shows off his new Cybertruck/mansion. Rule number 3 is to have fun while we work, KnowBe4 hasn't been fun since we started making a move for IPO, and it's worse since the Vista Acquisition. A whole new department was created to take over 10% of our role, get upsell. They do almost no work but process the referrals we get them, and they make twice as much money as we do. We have openings and promotions that have gone months without being filled because no one cares anymore to apply. This company has become a joke.

Hello Knowster. We have an open PTO policy which doesn’t mean you can take an ‘unlimited’ amount of time off. If you feel your PTO requests are within reason and being denied, please reach out to the People Operations team. There are no executives taking 60-84 days off per year as you claim. Our CSMs are not responsible for upselling or tech support like CSMs at other companies are, hence having more accounts per CSM than other companies but nowhere close to 10-15x the norm. Also, we fill our open promotion roles internally very quickly and have had more than 170 promotions year to date across all sectors of the company. Leadership consistently communicates what the goals and targets are for each area daily. If you are still unclear as to what the expectations are for your role, please reach out to your manager and People Operations.
