      Cons

      A lot departmental of politics, bias for employees that have worked for the company long or the people they like. Incompetent supervision and confusing attendance policies.

      Pros

      pay is better than other gas stations, grocery stores, etc, you get a guaranteed 3% raise on your hourly 3 months in if you perform well enough. If you don't mind breaking your back for some relatively good pay, well here it is. I haven't had many issues with my scheduling, but that is store-specific.

      Cons

      I work for a level 4 store, which means we should have a minimum of 3 overnighters especially Sundays to Fridays, but that's rare. Since the store leaders prefer having more profit than having their workers work proficiently. Doesn't help when 2nd shift gets babied because of all the high schoolers which leaves 30 minutes to an hour of work for 3rd shifters, reducing more of the little time we already have compared to the responsibilities we have. Doesn't help that the entire chain of command enjoys shit-talk and gossip, but that is more store-specific. Training is half-assed at best, they even had me 2 weeks into working overnight training a newbie. It's.... certainly something. And there are still basic things that even people who've been working there for more than 5 years tell me "oh I didn't know that, they never trained me/told me about it." Same can be said about my experience 1 year in.

      Pros

      Ability to work remote some days, 40% profit sharing

      Cons

      Low pay 3% raise [at 8% inflation] when company has had record profits for the better part of a decade, minimal PTO and sick time, no family or paternity leave for fathers. Rolling back to more time in-office. Profit sharing is touted instead of reasonable wage increases.

      Cons

      Hours can be inconsistent if your part time depending on the season and how busy your store is and need to work at least one weekend per 2 weeks

      Pros

      There are a few really great departments within IT that are staffed with kind people. You get a one time stipend of $300 for at home office equipment. There are flex weeks, where you get a half day on Friday. You must still work 40 hours though. There is additional pay for on call work. Documentation is actually very helpful and most people are happy to answer questions.

      Cons

      The pay is well under the industry standard (despite what they say) and the IT department has high turnover as a result. Many departments with less schooling requirments make far more than IT workers with a college degree (or 2!). Benefits are very horrible: this includes PTO, health care, and outside training opportunities. Drama is rampant here and creates a toxic environment. There are next to no technical questions during the recruiting process, thus there are many underqualified workers in an already understaffed team. There is “productivity tracking” software installed on the computers and management tracks how long you were away from your computer. If you are on a OPT visa, be wary. There are many immigrants being taken advantage of as there is low pay and no opportunity for sponsorship. The company is happy to spend lots for consultants but are unwilling to give promotions or decent wage increases. Many IT workers are hourly to save money. Hourly employees receive 5 less PTO days than salaried coworkers. If you choose to work here, be prepared for it to seriously effect your mental health.
