      Pros

Lockheed has great benefits including HSA, PTO, paid parental leave as well as allowances on PPE and other small perks that shows the company values you.

      Cons

The 4/10 shift can be difficult for some people to adjust to.

      Overall Good Company

      Pros

Great compensation, diverse company with opportunities to move around. Great training and mentorship. Benefis are great (company will match up to 5% in retirement contributions, health benefits and other miscellaneous perks are phenomenal). Reputable company that is recognized in industry and will position you to be a strong candidate if you decide to make a career move elsewhere.

      Cons

      Promotional opportunities are extremely competitive.

Decent company, good people, good benefits

      Pros

Very flexible working, really good at trusting their people to work autonomously, as long as you put in your hours and get everything done they are pretty relaxed about when and where you do it, creates a good culture. Compensation is very competitive, good pay, decent pension, plus private health with lots of options to get extra benefits for minimal cut from salary.

      Cons

The same cons as any massive multinational corporation - somewhat rigid bureaucracy, sometimes have to jump through hoops to get things done.

      Great place to work

      Pros

Love working with LM, good benefits, work life balance, and culture. LM does a great job of taking care of their employees. Many opportunities to change careers in the company or try out different opportunities.

      Cons

Only cons to be said is that it is a typical corporate structure, so you may not get the same degree of autonomy or agility as you'd find at other places. Granted this could just be a reflection of the customer.

      Best company I've worked for

      Cyber software engineer
      Current employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The pay is very good, benefits are excellent, and there is opportunity for professional growth and career exploration.

      Cons

The cons are the same as with any other large defense contractor.

      Pros

Great place to learn, become proficient, gain expertise in anything you're interested in. Great pay, nice work environment, friendly and helpful coworkers, outstanding benefits and good work conditions. Interesting technology and motivating business purpose.

      Cons

Some managers are very difficult to work for.

      Pros

Good benefits, 401k 8% matching, good time for PTO, great holiday time off, able to get along with everyone pretty well, solid compensation,

      Cons

Either very early hours or late shift... no 9-5, in office 5 days a week, no chance for remote, mandatory OT about once a month, too much to learn at first ("feels like drinking from a fire hose" the comparison I have heard multiple times about starting this job), possibly you will be moved to different time schedule with no say..

Standard pay, some opportunities, some issues, lots of paperwork.

      Mechanical engineer
      Former employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

40hrs per week no more no less, Fridays off, standard benefits and pay, some teams are good, lots of people you can ask for advice, lots of work social groups.

      Cons

Some teams really suck, have no culture, and will have you asking yourself "what is my purpose?" Like the robot from Rick and Morty. Your purpose, of course, is to pass the paperwork. Lots of times you'll be administering processes to get things changed or approved and checked, rather than actually designing things or doing real engineering. (This is especially prominent in electrical/mechanical support equipment) (stay away from support equipment) some teams have terrible culture making you feel like you're at an outpost on the north pole by yourself. (EGSE) There is ALWAYS some sort of hamper every time you try to get your experience based promotion as well (oh we don't count outside LM work, we have a hiring freeze, there's no positions right now, we have layoffs) DO NOT EXPECT to get your promotion. You need to change teams or companies to get a promotion. And did I mention LAYOFFS, for a fortune 500 company, they're doing pretty terrible finance wise to plan poor enough for layoffs. ALSO, their sick time pays out monthly rather than beginning of the year. This was changed conveniently before layoffs, but I'll let you be the judge.
