What are perks and other benefits like at Michaels?

Good benefits, great co workers and plenty of room for growth

Lack of management and overwhelming amount of work

Low pay, no benefits, inexperienced management, terrible atmosphere, no training, can't ask questions, micro managed, favoritism, no room for advancement

The benefits and overtime were good.

Since it was a new start-up at the time I was working there, they made us work 6 times a week 10 hour shifts. They were also unorganized, and the team leads and managers were all friends. The only way for you to even move up was to be already know the manager. And they team leads weren't good at whatthey did. They just fooled around.

There is a flexible schedule

I don’t like the micro management

The people- lots of staff tend to me creative types.

The pay doesn’t reflect the amount of work that you do. Corporate is not hiring enough people so you’re rushing constantly during your shift.
