      Pros

Vacation time and sick time offered. Company has many perks and benefits

      Cons

Bonus is not guaranteed while they tell you it’s a part of the pay structure. They continuously change the metrics components of a scorecard are with little warning and have also retro activated these changes. During interviews and the hiring process this is NEVER discussed. Their systems and process model is antiquated. While the vacation time is available, when used you’re often then behind because there is little to no assistance in place. It will undoubtedly trigger client and FAs to complete surveys about the level of service they have both received. They push these surveys by asking the Relationship Manager to send several follow ups pandering to both parties to encourage them to complete it. The surveys are discussed ad nauseam yet they do NOTHING to improve the actual process.

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good leave benefits Flexible working hours Talented colleagues Flat hierarchy

      Cons

Your experience totally depends on your team. Salary/Promotions are totally dependent on your division head. You need to be in his good books. EDs, VPs outside India are more knowledgeable and promote a good work culture. If you are in a team with VPs in UK or not in India you will learn a lot and there is lot of help that you get. Leadership in India just plays politics, gets work done through pressure rather than helping the team. I have worked in both teams and I clearly felt like working in 2 companies. The appraisal process is just so bad because whatever good comments you get from the colleague your division heads decides your hike/bonus. If he doesn't like you, you can forget about growth in salary or promotions. Hike is excellent if you are a top performer. If you are anything below it is very bad. Not even single digits if you are not on good terms with your division head.

      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

At the time, their account opening process was more streamlined than at other companies

      Cons

No real training, the brief online modules did not fully correlate with hands-on experience and there were very little written guidance/resources making it imperative to depend on someone to show you how to do anything. Also, this firm expectation to pick up the phone at all times, needing a back-up when going to the bathroom or being in a meeting,

Great Place to work with high quality professionals

      Pros

This company provides its employees with the best technology and resources. Its new employees undergo a rigorous selection process, ensuring that their experience and qualifications are suitable for the position. It is a place where you will learn from very talented people and grow in the company as they provide your career plans.

      Cons

As you will be provided with the best technology and resources and trained by talented people, you will be expected to meet your work at the highest standards. You may experience work pressure and extra hours outside your work schedule.

      Pros

The pay is respectable for answering phones.

      Cons

Morgan Stanley bought E-trade. Morgan Stanley is not completely honest during the hiring process. They do not mention this is a sales position until the end of training. If you proceed, please know, you will be selling. We were told we would be Customer Service Representatives, but many of my friends were terminated because they did not meet sales objectives.
