What is paid time off like at NAPA Auto Parts?

Pros

Good money IF you're in management.

Cons

Yes you do have benefits but you're not allowed to use them. As a store manager of you do use your benefits such as paid time off you get penalized by upper management. Store Manager is a salary position and the expected work week is 50hrs. You will not be working 50. You will be working between 70-80 hrs a week and upper management demands this although it's totally illegal according to FLSA. Office politics takes the roll of how well you do with this company. Not your performance.

Advice to Management

Don't do it.

As a store manager of you do use your benefits such as paid time off you get penalized by upper management.

Does NAPA Auto Parts offer dental insurance?

Pros

-vacation time -dental/health coverage -paid sick days/personal days - hires from within - friendly coworkers(not always.)

Cons

- some workers pretend to never make mistakes and will often insult you and compare themselves to you. - pay is miniscule -short-staffed, lack of drivers and they expect you to obtain high efficiency despite a large service area. -they care more about numbers on a sheet than they do the individual. -dispatcher would often create routes that make you work beyond your time consistently. - not open Sundays. A benefit to some, but it's not a Mon-Fri business. Which means some people will have split days off. If it was a business open 7-days a week then everyone can 2 days off rather than a split. It creates difficulties for personal life. -work/life balance - Toxic work environment. Takes too long for a solution to be made, and by that time you will be burned out, frustrated and not wanting to go to work.

Advice to Management

Hire people, don't assume cause it's working that you don't need people and a case must be made to justify hiring more. Give better wages. Wages are fairly low, which makes it hard to find workers that will stay. If someone has valid complaints of workplace abuse don't just let it happen for months before it takes its toll on the individual being harassed. Be leaders, lead.

Does NAPA Auto Parts have a pension plan?

Pros

Great employee price on parts, good benefits, stock option and pension. Pay is good.

Cons

Absolutely everything else. Do as I say not as I do management style, zero transparency, no consulting field employees when making major changes to operations.

Advice to Management

Listen more than you speak. It would do them all well to remember that if you believe everyone is replaceable, than by default you are too.

Great employee price on parts, good benefits, stock option and pension.
