What is the hiring process like at Schneider Electric?

      Schneider Electric reviews

      Best Internship

      Design firm intern

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      I have good internship experiences

      Cons

The hiring process is quite selective, and it seems that many hires are made through personal or university connections rather than open recruitment.

Worst company I've ever worked for

      Assembly wiring technician
      Former temporary employee
      Hopkins, SC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Four 10 hour shifts (Monday- Thursday), Their attention to safety is far above any other companies I've seen, Cafe/kitchen inside that cooks breakfast/lunch, a good number of great people to work with

      Cons

Lack of training (I literally received only hours of training), inner social politics, The typical selective favortism (One of the biggest issue I saw while working here) you see with just about every company, but this place was by far the worst I've ever seen and played a huge role lack of training for me personally, pay in comparison to other related companies, lack of communication to employees or at least select employees, when your shift ends, the process of leaving the parking lot and exiting the property can take up to 10 minutes due to the layout and amount of people that leave at once. In a separate category- the temp employees are unfairly hired on full time and it operates under a "buddy system" rather than seniority, work ethic and experience. It all depends on if you're well liked by the right people.

      Diversity and Inclusion done right!

      Business Outlook

      Pros

I have been a part of Schneider for 12 years now. My family moved from Paraguay, South America, when I was very young. They spoke to us in Spanish at home, and we answered in English. I grew up in the middle of Missouri and there wasn’t a big community of diversity or Spanish speakers. When I joined Schneider I get to still be near my hometown but also work with people all over the world. My Spanish has flourished again and I have so many amazing co workers and friends from many cultures and countries where we get to not only work together on projects and committees, but also learn from each other as human beings. I can say so many great things about Schnieder, but the top of my perks is the ability as an immigrant to find others that are open and inclusive that we teach each other and all grow.

      Cons

The hiring process is a con. When there is a need for more resources, the amount of people to support hiring is not enough or not always technical minded. The great Talent Acquisition people are the ones that ask for support and do more than just read the job requisition. They help form it to improve it and get Schneider Employees to support.

      Business Outlook

      Pros

It was a great company to work for. The interview process was solely behavioral, and the interviewer was friendly.

      Cons

Seems like a good company to work for once you're a little older. Sometimes you're given menial tasks which makes you feel like you're not actually making an impact.
