Constant financial/hiring constraints and reductions in force for the past 3+ years. Mentally exhausting for HR partners and has created a negative culture across the company that we can't fix. You can feel the tension amongst teams as they are asked to do the same with less resources. I'm also paid very low in my salary range for what is being asked. Company is barely hiring HR roles and are focusing on opening in low-cost countries. Not hopeful on the future career opportunities for US jobs.

Low level Management tends to be understanding and competent. Coworkers on the floor also tend to be competent and friendly. Work in manufacturing is done in a clean room environment, which means that you are usually shielded from direct overreach and supervision from upper management.

There are constant cost saving measures implemented that almost always directly or indirectly lower your take-home pay. Upper management is both stubborn and clueless, usually to the detriment of workers. Lower management can only shield you so much. Internal career development is almost non-existent. The hiring policy is leaning heavier and heavier on outside contractors. One position i applied for had 30 other internal people apply. The position went to a contractor. Upper management believes that forcing every one to shift to a 10 hour shift from a 12 hour shift will magically fix every problem and have gleefully ignored the widespread and numerous push back from technicians. When confronted, they will robotically state they are "aware of conscerns" and stop the conversation there.

No internal promotion or hiring, unable to get an idea of when a pay raise may occur after being promised one after 6 months of employment, terrible onboarding process, thermo fisher aquisition made everything terrible

Had some of the most supportive managers I've ever had, determined to help me succeed. The job started out very straightforward, though there were a lot of moving parts.

The company rolled out major changes in workflow that never actually worked correctly, and my new manager pushed back against everything I was saying despite my years of experience in the role. Took months of being overworked before some kind of action was taken and it always fell short of a solution.

The job description outlined responsibilities that seemed aligned with my skills, and the interview process was rigorous. However, the actual work is completely unrelated to the JD and lacks meaningful tasks. Management—both at the team and upper levels—is poor, and there is no clear path for growth due to constant obstacles preventing you from doing the work you excel at. Honestly, I can’t wait to leave.
