Pros
There were growth possibilities for some people.
Cons
Transcom is an unprofitable company that barely survives by acquisitions and layoffs in EMEA. The current owner/fund is desperately trying to sell this company. Whoever is mad enough to buy this company will need to replace the entire management if they expect any growth of profit.
Illegal layoff practices - I am still technically an employee due to refusing to sign the mutual contract termination agreement as this was a wrongful layoff - the company however terminated my benefits before I even signed the contract and I was asked to return my laptop the very next day even though I am a remote worker.
There are numerous examples of the absurd practices of this company - the marketing department was established only in 2020, and the management is still struggling to understand the value of marketing and the creative department - in 2024! The 90's mentality is strong and there are no ways around it. The creative team has been laid off and outsourced to India this month so that is the last nail in the coffin of this company. Nobody picked up the leads coming through the website because the Salesforce owner doesn't know how to use Salesforce. The marketing strategists take credit for successful campaigns and blame the creatives for the unsuccessful ones but have no idea what they are doing. This happened due to rigid structures and by promoting the wrong people to the positions they are not qualified for and are not interested in so the management hides their incompetence by cutting costs - savings and layoffs.
Transcom is already legendary for their low salaries, transferring their workforce to lowest paying countries and outsourcing tasks.
The management is full of people standing in the way of change and progress, restricting access to information to make themselves irreplaceable. The only way they will let you do your job and make a positive impact is if they can take credit for your work. Your role is not to help the company grow but to ensure your manager gets another promotion - but they will not leave the company because no serious company would ever have them - and they know it, that is why they keep their employees in perpetual fight and fear circle as they are threatened by them and they make them feel inadequate.
Everything in Transcom is backwards. Internal dysfunction, including a lack of accountability and poor leadership, has created a toxic work environment where employees are undervalued and discouraged from contributing to the company's growth. Overall, Transcom is not a recommended employer unless significant changes are made at the management level.
