What is the salary like at UPMC?

Coworkers, flexible hours, really no other benefits in my opinion

Low pay, no opportunity for growth or advancement in skills, leadership or salary, paid parking, lack of assertive management, annual employee surveys that lead to nothing

Good salary for the cost of living, almost all the consultant specialties you could want, has an ER residency program, as well as orthopedics, 10 hour shifts with flexibility, hospitalists are willing to admit patients. This was a great place to work, up until 2020.

Inadequate staffing with nurses in the ER, every shift, and inpatient staffing is abysmal. Since COVID, wait times have doubled and boarding times have increased by a factor of 10. Hallway medicine is the rule. Patients hate all this and treat us accordingly. Execs loving the extra profits from not paying employees, continually cutting resources back. Corporate motto: Slower, cheaper, barely adequate.

12hr shifts, some of the coworkers were nice to work with, some locations were close to home, good about Ada accommodations for the most part.

management was awful, unorganized, poor communication, clicks in the work environment, favoritism, Low pto compared to other companies and low pay compared to other companies- left for a hospice job for a 25K pay raise with autonomy to do my job and no micromanagement and much more job fulfillment.

Great PTO, WFH flexibility, Decent pay, good health benefits

Awful merit increases, you're just a body in a seat, minimal communication, zero transparency, lack of growth opportunities, no other perks besides PTO & insurance, no teamwork, everyone is miserable

Department managers, care about you, great coworkers, excellent benefits, decent pay, awesome clients

It’s a large corporation! Like any large corporation, sometimes there are advantages and disadvantages

Great culture, learning opportunities, decent pay

Plenty of PTO, good salary, work from home.

Hard to advance, plenty of lateral moves.

Good benefits, good pay. Many opportunities.

Bullying run rampant and HR is basically nonexistent.
