Does adidas offer life insurance?
Pros
Depending on the team very interesting projects. You have the possibility to move to different teams depending of your skills sets and interests. You are encouraged to grow, but have no training budget. Instead you can follow online classes or internal trainings only. When you work in Amsterdam, you can expect flat hierarchies and great international and fun colleagues. Work life balance is okay - depends a bit on your position and seniority level. Inclusion and open work culture is encouraged and being worked at. Decent gym where you can also sport during working hours. Good secondary benefits such as life insurance, 28 holidays and stock purchase options. Flexible working hours and working from home is a big plus.
Cons
The worst aspect that people are constantly complaining about is the career path. You have barely options to get promoted, even if you perform well. If you want to have a more senior position, you need to formally apply and go through an interview process. This means usually also switching teams. Another disadvantage are limited salary growth. The whole reward system is failing and basically non existent. HR is also totally underperforming. Expats have to wait up to a year to receive their 30% tax benefit. There are also endless meetings in this company. Politics may also come along your way.
Advice to Management
Listen to feedback openly rather than limiting the room for people to speak in huddles. Questions from employees are restricted and reviewed by HR. Often you hear answers such as "you can always knock on my door" from VPs. As if anyone would do that. This is not about knocking doors - therefore we have huddles. For a year we talk about change and promotions and nothing gets done.
