      Learning Designer Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ADP in Nov 2024

      Interview

I recently interviewed for a Learning Designer position at ADP, and while the early stages of the process were promising, the final interview and follow-up left a lot to be desired. Here's an overview of my experience: Process: The initial HR screening call and interview with the hiring manager were professionally conducted. Both interviews felt natural and engaging, demonstrating the high standards of the company. However, the final interview was an unpleasant experience. The interviewers headset broke, resulting in extremely poor audio quality. Despite the technical problems, the interview continued, but it felt more like a monologue than a meaningful conversation. It was difficult to communicate effectively because of the technical problems. Follow-up: After the last interview I waited for feedback. When I didn't hear back, I had to follow up myself. I received a generic rejection email that did not address any specifics of my performance or areas for improvement. To make matters worse, the email thread contained information about another candidate applying for a completely different position in Romania. This raised serious concerns about the professionalism and attention to detail of their HR process. While the earlier stages of the interview process gave a good impression of ADP, the unprofessionalism of the final interview and the lack of detailed feedback afterwards were disappointing. The mishandling of email communication added to the frustration. For a company with ADP's reputation, I expected a much more polished and respectful experience, especially for candidates reaching the final stage of the process. Would I recommend applying with them? Based on my experience, I'd advise proceeding with caution, especially if you value clear communication and professionalism.
