      Clerical Interview

      May 6, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Hickory, NC
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at AIG (Hickory, NC)

      Interview

No interview. I just walked in and asked to apply for the position. I had to take a math test and typing test. I passed the math test so I went to the Lab Corp to take a drug test. I had to wait a few days for the drug test to come back and it was up to the home office. I called the office to check on the status of my application, it came back ok. I was asked when could I start, I started the next morning. I worked with this company for 16 years. I had submitted my resume to a doctor office the same time I applied for this position at AIG. The day that I started at American General is the day I was called for an interview at the doctor's office. If I could rewind time, I should have went to that interview. Maybe i would have a job today and not laid off. All employment is not guaranteed, but some employers are better than others or they care enough to give you a notice just like they want you to give them a notice if you leave them... RESPECT! thats all.
