I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at ALDI (Chester-le-Street, England) in Jan 2016
Interview
Applied online took 4 months to get interview ,went to local store for 10 minute interview ,were 4 people ahead of me ,I heard every word of each persons interview after they had entered the room (unbelievable) what I didn't hear was any candidate asked their name ,My interview ,was asked to talk about myself was not even confirmed who I was ,interviewer had no relevant paper work from what I could see, appeared just to be going through a routine ,as if the interview was not real ,when I came out there were a further 3 people waiting who had obviously heard every word of my interview ,Just unbelievable ,there has to be data protection issues here .. Was like a conveyor Belt Area Manager called Jess conducted interview Appeared stressed ,I suggest the next time she conducts interviews she at least finds a sound proof room ..The whole process has been an Absolute shambles from start to finish .. Then Im told by Email that over the next 12 months we can only accept applications for roles with a lower level of responsibility. Its a shelf Filling Job I applied for :-) just unbelievable ..

Pleasant and honest. Interview was held a hotel conference space in an open day format. Prospective workers were called in batches in a sort of ‘speed dating’ format. Interviewers were actual assistant store managers and as such were able to provide relevant insight into the role.
