      Senior Financial Analyst Interview

      Aug 27, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

      I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T

      Interview

The interview process is very rigorous to get into the Financial Leadership Program in AT&T. It is ranked one of the top programs in the country for a reason. It required an MBA from one of AT&T's target schools in their college recruiting cycle in the Fall. There are about four rounds of interviews. Initially it begins with an HR screening if you catch their attention at a job fair. Then there is a phone interview to follow up with more HR-related questions. After this it gets interesting. You will have to conduct an interview using an online platform and record answers. This is getting a lot more common these days for a lot of companies. If you pass this, then you have to fly out to HQ and present in front of 6 of the main Finance professionals of the company on a topic of their choosing.

      Question 1

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Dallas, TX)

      Interview

One 60 minute interview over the phone with the person you would be working under. Not technical questions based, rather all qualitative/behavioral. Overall, not a bad interview experience and the interviewer was very kind over the phone.

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2015

      Interview

I had an interview with two hiring managers as they didn't know where to place me. They were 30 mins each and then a 15 min interview each with the director and AVP of the group.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Mostly situational questions, how you would handle stress, random late hours, friction between coworkers, etc. Not really much about actual finance. Some questions about Excel competency since what we do now is very Excel intensive.
