I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Houston, TX) in May 2011
Interview
The recuriter pulled my resume off of an organization sight and called with a 30- minute phone interview. Then I had to do a second phone interview with the staffing manager. Then I had a panel interview with the regional manager and the hiring manager. My interview was Tuesday and they told me I wouldd hear back from them on Friday. Today is Thursday so we shall see. The interview was very pleaseant, they asked structed behavioral questions but afterwards, it was more informal and there was a lot of laughter and smiling.
Three interviews with HR, Hiring Manager and Director. Took a long time to land the interview, then even longer to actually get hired on. Took three months to get an interview response and four months to actually get the offer letter of employment. They don't move fast here.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T in Apr 2014
Interview
The interview process was handled very professionally and was a great selection on the company and its processes. The process let me know that ATT has a stringent process to vet potential employees and it made me less nervous about working there
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T
Interview
They have changed the process to totally on-line. If you choose, after nominating for a position, you can view the application status throughout its journey. If you are deemed qualified, and get an interview, its great, otherwise, its very impersonal.
