      Sales Manager Interview

      Dec 30, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Gastonia, NC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Aaron's (Gastonia, NC)

      Interview

Very frustrating situation. DM called me, and set up interview. I arrived early and let them know who I was. I got an OK for a response. Finally after twenty minutes the manager prints off my resume and talks to me. He acts like I’m an interruption. He tells me the DM who I was there to see had to be on a call and would not be able to interview. The interview consisted of low key questions and the manager trying to sell me. At the end he scheduled for a second interview. I agreed. When I came in for the interview I was greeted with “what do you want “. I reminded him of the interview he himself had set up with the DM. Turns out he did not follow through and set up the second interview. Horrible attitude and behavior for a manager. Very disappointed in the process or lack there of.

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Aaron's (Texas City, TX) in Jan 2021

      Interview

Fairly short and not too many levels of interviews. The first interview was with the General Manager then Regional Manager. Was offered a job after only two interviews. Competitive salary and hours were decent.

      Sales Manager Interview

      Oct 22, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Pelham, AL
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aaron's (Pelham, AL) in Oct 2020

      Interview

When I went in for the interview I was about 15 mins early. I remember it was held on a Thursday around 1 o'clock in the afternoon. The General Manager was there by himself. In the middle of the interview he had a lady and her young child come in. So he had to stop in the middle of my interview to go try to sell something to her. After the initial interview was finished I waited for about a week to call. This went on for several weeks. Probably should've been a red flag for me to begin with but I needed a job. Officially after my interview it took me a whole entire month to get hired instead of about a week or two at the most. Also, after the interview was complete he said that he had a couple of more people to interview for the position that I was trying to get. And told me that it shouldn't be until the following week when he makes his decision.

      Question 1

Basic interview questions that most companies ask for. But some were somewhat personal.
