Account Representative - Italian Speaking Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in London, England (UK)
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ActivTrades (London, England (UK)).

    Interview

This review is pretty dated as the interview process took place in September 2012. First step was a phone interview (the very day after my application). Nothing hard, just a pleasant talk about me. I was immediately asked to take a personal interview in London few weeks after assuring me it'd have been the only interview there (with 2 managers and COO Mr. Alessandro Gho).
After a 100 questions- test, I attended a personal interview with 2 the Head of Support and then the Italian Desk Coordinator. I was asked about me again, my professional targets and skills and the reason I was leaving my forex broker employer in Italy. I provided them full explanations and a lot of details. At the very end of interview I was told that I would have come back to London for another interview with the COO (that, despite what said earlier, wasn't there!) . Last question was focused about my aspirations in the future (professional area among a list of roles they gave me). My answer is the reason why I didn't take the job (their feedback); I didn't say the very same role I was aplying for. There was no point in stressing the fact that I had just chosen one of the roles they listed (among which, the Account Representative was not included). However for the whole interview I had the impression that both managers were not paying me much attention (as my "not-heard" answer confirms). Interesting that I used to have all skills and experience for that job (and many others more skilled) including sales and customer care (and more important, even in the same business and role).

    Human Resources Manager Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at ActivTrades in March 2016.

    Interview

There were two interviews with a recruiter from the staffing agency and in a week time, one final interview with group of higher managers, including the CEO of the company.
The questions from the pannel interview were very predictable and formal, nothing innovative at all. Besides the formal questions, there were some cases, focused entirely on the specific of the role. A feedback was promised but never provided.

2 stage interview with Department Manager, HR Manager and Compliance.

Very formal need to wear a suit.

Be prepared to speak about the company and its history. It is very important that you show proactivity and give new ideas for your role during the interview process. They will also judge you based on the answers you provide about conflicts with work colleagues
