Actuarial Management interview questions

The entire interview process was split into two parts, phone interview and in-person interview. After some email back and forth, a phone interview was scheduled. The first phone interview consisted of basic questions about interest in the job, the profession, and also a bit of problem solving questions. The questions ranged from basic addition and subtraction to probability questions. A second phone interview was also basic background questions about school and interest, and some more problem solving questions. After that round, I scheduled to go into the office for an in-person interview. I talked 1:1 with a couple of the managers and was asked questions similar to the phone interviews, but also situational questions about things you might encounter on the job. There was also two rounds of a more casual interview with two of the analyst at the same time. This felt more conversational and "getting to know you" than testing knowledge and skills. One analyst did catch me off guard by asking "tell me a good joke?" as the session was nearing the end. I was surprised and could not think of an appropriate response. Finally, I was given a 30-minute Excel skills test. The first couple questions started off pretty easy (copy and paste, insert row) but the rest were pretty difficult. Some of the questions also seemed a bit vague and didn't understand how much detail to go into. Overall, I felt very confident and was impressed by the friendliness of the people who worked there, but am disappointed that I was not given an offer.
