First interview was fairly basic with the recruiter then followed by a simple C# exercise using the GoToMeeting. After passing the technical screening test I was contacted by one of their Sr. developers. We spoke for almost 1.5 hr about my technical skills and background then he gave me an overview of the position. Shortly after, I was contacted by the HR Manager and I was told that I made it to the final stage of their interviewing process. I was invited to come in and meet with the team and go to lunch with few developers. I met with 3 Developers, the HR Manager/Recruiter and the Director of Operations all at the same time. The interview lasted for about an hour. I was basically grilled. The questions came from everyone in not very organized matter. Very few questions were technical or relevant. Then after the interview, I was asked to sit with one of their developers to shadow him but instead, he started asking me questions about his code. I don't think this part went well because I wasn't given a sufficient time to even understand his code. Shortly after, I went to lunch with some developers. I left feeling good and I thought I would receive an offer for sure but after a lengthy interviewing process and many back and forth emails, I received a generic response from their HR telling me that they decided to go with another candidate.
