I recently participated in an interview process with adapt.io for the backend engineer, and I feel compelled to share my overwhelmingly negative experience.
Despite my initial enthusiasm about the opportunity to join your team, the lack of communication and transparency throughout the process has left me deeply dissatisfied. After attending the interview, I diligently followed up every week to inquire about the status of my application. Each time, I received vague responses stating that there were no updates.
Over a month later, I was finally informed that the position is on hold. This lack of timely communication is not only unprofessional but also reflects a disregard for the time and effort invested by candidates. As a recent graduate, my time is valuable, and the lack of consideration for that has been disappointing.
This entire experience has left me with a negative impression of adapt.io's hiring practices. The seemingly arbitrary decision to put the position on hold after weeks of silence reflects poorly on the organization's commitment to transparent and respectful communication with candidates.
I would strongly advise other job seekers to approach the hiring process with caution and to be prepared for potential frustration and disappointment. My hope is that adapt.io takes these concerns seriously and considers improving their communication practices to provide a more positive experience for future candidates.
