I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Aflac (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2011
Interview
THe hiring process varies a lot by territory, but they are all very lax. Very few of the managers really care whether you will suceed or not. They really want to know that you will at least make it to their sales school so that you count towards their quota.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What kind of situation would be overwhelming for you? How did you respond?
It was a very odd process. They conduct their interviews in groups which I’ve never seen before. Honestly they seem desperate to me which I did not like. It is also all commissioned based with no salary. Very awkward to ask questions since it’s done in a group.
Met with district regional manager, in person interview, business professional attire. typical interview questions (i.e. strengths, weaknesses, how do you communicate with people, etc). Overall, not difficult and this was for an internship.
sat with multiple people going through the process. It was just the info session, but it was informative. invited to go through another round of interviews, but did not proceed.
