I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Air Products (Allentown, PA) in Dec 2008
Interview
Following an on-campus interview, I was contacted by HR staff at Air Products to arrange an on-site interview. Air Products allowed a reasonable window for setting up the on-site. I was asked to give a 45 minute technical seminar, followed by about 15 minutes of questions - pretty typical for PhD interviews. The seminar was very well attended and the questions were good - a sign that the right people were in the room and that good communication was occurring within the company. The seminar was followed by 5 interviews with technical or group leads in various areas of Air Products. Lunch was on-site in the cafeteria with a current CDP participant. Lunch was low-key and a good chance to catch a bit of "rest". I found the interviews to be pretty straightforward. Some interviewers hit technical topics, but I never felt grilled. I did feel that I had a reasonable opportunity to highlight the technical areas I wanted highlighted. There were plenty of opportunities to talk about past experience and thesis-related information.

Question 1
What medium is your favorite for presenting your work (published papers, conferences oral presentations, conference poster presentations).
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Air Products (Allentown, PA) in Dec 2018
Interview
I passed the 1st on campus interview. Then it took <2 weeks for them to invite me on-site. The interview team was very friendly and genuinely interested in knowing my background and skills. I did not get the job probably because they wanted someone with both modeling and experimental background but my thesis work was purely experimental. But it took only a week for them to reach the decision. And I'm glad they are very responsive.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Air Products in Oct 2013
Interview
People from air products come to my department to do recruiting for this CDP program and I got an interview. It was 45 minutes and was roughly divided into three quarters. The first round was about my research. They basically are interested in what exactly you did. I guess one should be able to explain their work in a way that normal people would understand. The second round was generally behavior type of question, where they asked about my leadership activities, team work experiences etc. The last 15 minutes I got chances to ask my own questions.
