I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines in Apr 2015
Interview
I submitted online application in response to a posting on the Alaska Airlines website that they were hiring FAs. I got an email the next week asking me a 6 more questions, most of which were asked on the application (are you able and willing to relocate, have you used nicotine products in the last 6 months), but also asking where I would like to interview in person if selected and what the best times to reach me on weekdays were. I responded promptly and received a second email two days later to set up a phone interview during the window of time I had provided, so they're paying attention to your answers to those initial questions which is nice. The phone interview lasted about 12 minutes, and I was asked about my work history and a few supplemental questions about customer service, scheduling and professionalism. At the end of the phone interview I was invited to attend an in-person interview in a few weeks.

I applied online. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2026
Interview
Two virtual interviews that included an AI interview, a personality questionnaire and a “test” of your ability to use resources provided to answer flight-related questions. After that you’re invited to an in-person interview.
The interview process is lengthy and in depth. They really dive deep. Overall, it was a great experience and ensured that they find the right fit. I did end up accepting and am awaiting training.
