I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Alation (Redwood City, CA)
Interview
Phone screen, onsite. The hiring manager is a 🔧. Very abrasive, good luck filling the position with this guy as the lead. Onsite asked to write out some sql queries. The office building is embarrassingly out of touch with the type of talent they are trying to recruit. It smelled like a retirement home.

Onsite they give you a picture of legos that looks like a duck. They mock a call with you with the goal of you telling them about how you would tell someone how to put the duck together over the phone.
