Pretty lengthy took a month to hear anything after applying, interview was scheduled out 2-3 weeks but after the interview heard something back within a day so that was perfect!

Very unprofessional & thee worst interview experience I have ever experienced. Allstate should be ashamed of themselves for allowing such individuals to interview candidates. Just because someone is interviewing for a position does not give you the right to be rude and attacking, I’m also not sure why Catastrophe reps (regardless of seniority) are allowed to interview rather than supervisors/managers. Sure, they can sit in on interview but don’t understand how/why they’d be responsible for the entire interview. The young female was much more quiet (appeared to be there to give an impression of diversity which obviously is false) but the male was very abrasive and so rude. Immediately acted as if he wanted me to back out interview spending 5 minutes explaining how incredibly stressful the position is (as if I had not already done my research prior to applying). Then he went in in my resume, attacking me for the time frames at a couple positions. Well if he paid attention, clearly he could see they were contract positions. Also I’ve never been anywhere shorter than over a year. There was one where i tried to answer his question about why I was there for such time period which was due to death in family and the aftermath. He cut me off and said I don’t need to know all that. Well I’m trying to answer your question since you’re attacking my resume. Mind you when I notice all the people on LinkedIn posting about landing this or various other positions, our if curiosity I look at their profiles since their pretty much all Caucasian & noticed no prior claims experience on top of several 6 month or shorter time frames on their jobs. So considering the fact that my candidate status was updated to not selected in less than an hour from when interviewed, he already had his mind made up when he saw ME on camera. I was more than well prepared and accustomed to STAR format interviews so the interview itself was not at all tough. But the abrasive , attacking, rude behavior of the main interviewer was very off-putting to say the least. I’d hate to be one of his customers. Also Allstate definitely does not appear to embrace diversity so there may be some discrimination as well. Was a complete waste of time.

I applied & was moved forward by the recruiter to take an assessment & then scheduled a interview with two managers via zoom. The manager that asked most of the questions was pleasant but the other manager that wrote down my replies was very rude & snobby, she didn’t introduce herself when she joined the zoom & seemed annoyed when I asked questions at the end. Not a good first impression of the company.
