I went through 2 rounds of interviews before deciding myself not to move on after the second. The first one was a standard behavioral one, recorded before a screen (might've changed due to the pandemic). The second one consisted of two parts: the first a role play, where I was assigned a case and asked to look for industry experts to answer a question for a made-up client, the second a standard behavioral interview.

Question 1
Can you find three industry experts in X industry?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AlphaSights
Interview
The process was very thorough, consisting of 3 rounds, with the third and final round being 3 hours long and broken up into 3 sub rounds.
First Round: After you submit your application and essay, you'll get invited to take a video interview. This is just you and your camera on your computer. A question comes up, you have 5 secs to read it, and then 30-60 seconds to answer. You don't know how long you'll have until the timer starts. All of the questions are listed here in other reviews. Make sure you rehearse otherwise it will be awkward
Second Round: A Google Hangout (skype) interview with an HR rep. They were very friendly but you could tell they have 20 other people to interview that day so the questions were pretty rapid fire. Again, rehearse the questions that are listed here and you should do fine.
Third Round: Invited to the office in NYC to meet with the team. I was sent a case study to prepare based on what analysts do every day and asked to answer some questions about myself 24hr before the interview. First round was with 2 analysts who talked almost exclusively about the technical parts of the job and asked questions related to this. They grilled me on my case study and then gave me a new one with 3 options + a laptop and said solve two, we'll be back in 15min. Grilled me more on this. This was the hardest part. Second round was with higher level manager, more behavioral and cultural/conversational. Third round was with another senior level manager, very conversational and was basically gauging to see if I would be a good "fit", I think.
I heard back about a week later and was sent my offer letter then. Very hard but practice, practice, practice and learn everything you can about the company and you'll do fine.
