I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Amadeus (Sydney) in Jan 2021
Interview
The interview was great and felt more like a 2-way communication. There was also a technical exam in Linux. The behavioural questions were most likely about how to deal with stress and achievements.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amadeus (Pune) in Jul 2024
Interview
I recently interviewed for an SRE role with Amadeus, where I went through two technical interviews followed by a conversation with the hiring manager. During the second interview, the hiring manager expressed that they were impressed with my profile and assured me that I would hear back soon. However, after a week of no communication, I reached out to HR, who informed me that they had hired someone who could start immediately.
This experience left me questioning why companies sometimes proceed with candidates when they already have specific requirements, such as immediate availability, which were clearly communicated upfront. It seems unfair that while much is said about candidates being transparent and respectful of the hiring process, there's less focus on how companies sometimes fail to do the same. This kind of practice not only wastes the candidate's time but also impacts their job search strategy.
