      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon in Feb 2011

      Interview

Received interview invitation through on-campus recruiting. Interview consisted of 2 1:1 30 minute back to back interviews with managers of the company. Started out with basic walk through resume and why amazon questions. Then interviews got more technical with questions like how can you improve different areas within amazon. Interviewers were generally neutral throughout the process. I think they were most interested in your creative thought and ability to formulate a structured plan to the questions they were asking about amazon. Not too much attention was given to questions surrounding your resume.

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2011

      Interview

First rounds were conducted on campus on day one. First rounds consisted of one 30 minute interview. Some behavioral questions, but more focused on retail and actual business decisions. Then second rounds were the second day. This consisted of two 30 minute interviews in a very similar format to the first day. Every interview started with "Why Amazon?". The interviews were mostly retail focused, although I was looking for a tech product management internship. Decisions were given out on the 4th day. We were emailed decisions.
