      Warehouse Associate(Part Time) Interview

      Nov 8, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2018

      Interview

I tried applying through indeed, it said it would give you an appointment to a hiring event. Its misleading, when i got there they told me i dint exist in thier system, only the fact that i got an appointment. I was forced to apply through amazon force.com website, i already wasted several hours trying to get to the hiring event and finding it, only to find out i have to apply online anyways. I signed up for all the credentials, up to the point where they give you an assessment test, this determines your application if it gets rejected or not. After finishing it, i was immediately rejected from applying to the online site, asked the interviewers there why did it do that, and one of them said my application was rejected, because my assessment score was too low, couldnt get confirmation , tried going on the online cat to speak with a representative, they couldn't confirm it at all. The surprising thing is that i cannot apply to jobs on amazon force for 90 days after talking to an online hiring representative. Unbeknownst to me there was a "right" way to answer the multiple choices, which gave 6 answers.(strongly disagree to neutral, and strongly agree) most of the answers i chose were neutral or somewhat neutral, i did not know it can be used against you in the rejection, So i would assume you have to either be on strongly agree or strongly disagree, based on the question. Like other reviews here, the questions are very weird and personal, like how do you like interviewers opinions on the work place, or do they like you? In hindsight, make sure to apply online with amazon official site if your planning to go to an hiring event first, and make sure you choose your answer carefully, i did not know if there was a timer, also it forces you to play a game based on a grid system(what items are supposed to be placed next to each other). If you somehow get rejected like me, you are effectively soft-banned from applying from Amazon force website for 90 days, according to the representative online, it includes new ones and other jobs you are applying through. I dont know if this true for amazon.jobs com, since thats a separate website but the same amazon company. if you think you wont be able to finish the application, or you feel like you got too many wrong, immediately withdraw from the application, this does not count towards a rejection criteria. make sure you put education, work experience correctly as well. the questions have very little to do with the job, but it seems its mainly agreeing or not with the people you work with. i wasted a ton of time, by the time i was done getting rejected, the other applicants in the room already went through the whole orientation, did the drug test. The amazon model, no interview, was replaced with something worst.
